Kindergarten Readiness Assessment (KRA)

We will conduct a one-on-one analysis of your child’s current academic and development levels. Typically, the assessment is administered in August or September for independent schools and December or January for public schools. Your child will be evaluated on six skill subtests:

  1. Reading readiness
  2. Math concepts
  3. Language
  4. Fine motor skills
  5. Gross motor skills
  6. Social skills

The assessment typically lasts 45 minutes to one hour. The assessment is followed up by an extensive report outlining your child’s abilities in the six subtests as well as identifying emerging skills. Our written assessment includes activity and suggestions for follow up activities.
