**TUESDAY CLUBS**

Coding Minecraft Using LUA

TUESDAY, Grades 1-2                                                     Cost: $193

Using a custom mod called “Computercraft”, students will learn how to program robots called “Turtles” inside the world of Minecraft. Kids will utilize problem-solving skills by learning how to program their robots to complete various tasks and objectives such as programming their turtles to automatically build, mine, and craft items and structures. Looking for a fun way to introduce your child to programming? Why not do it using a game they love! Note: Basic reading skills required. Experience playing Minecraft preferred, but not required. Drawing and Painting

TUESDAY, Grades K-2                                                     Cost: $155

After school artists will learn basic techniques to CREATE both realistic and imaginative works of art as they develop and sharpen their drawing and painting skills. Students will use of variety of materials including oil pastels, pencil, watercolor and tempera paint in this fun and engaging class. Presented by CREATE.

French – Beginner

TUESDAY, Grades 2-5                                                                   Cost: $178

Winter Session French is designed for both new and continuing beginners. Children will build practical language skills, practice speaking with friends and explore a new language and culture in a fun, informal, immersion setting. We’ll play imaginative games and act out dialogues with new topics and themes including favorite sports and activities, vowels and alphabet, telling time, the farm, breakfast time and more!  Workbooks and small group activities support early reading and writing skills in the language. No prerequisite. Features new themes so that brand new and returning students can participate. Offered by Big Learning FLES.

French-Introductory

Join us this session for a fun introduction to French in an immersion-style setting! New and returning K-1 students will learn and practice vocabulary and expressions relating to our new winter story, The Little Red Riding Hood, or Le Petit Chaperon Rouge. Children will enjoy activities, storytelling and play acting with songs, puppets and games while using their new language skills to communicate.

Jump It Up!

TUESDAY, Grades K-5                                                     Cost: $150

Jump It Up is a whole-body movement-based club that is fun and safe exercise. The goal is to increase health, wellness, and fitness with balance, strength, and coordination for all students. Gross motor skills will be reinforced with mini-trampolines and other equipment. Students will learn fun, easy movement routines in sequences timed to music – balance and agility will be a focus. Use of arms, legs, and various muscle groups will increase students’ strength, endurance, body awareness and overall fitness.  Students should wear comfortable clothes. Taught by Woodlin staff Physical Therapist Hope Sadler, DPT.

Karate

This class is designed for all belt levels ages 5 -11. Students learn the basic levels of martial arts while participating in a fun, exciting atmosphere. Roblox

Yoga

THURSDAY, Grades K-5                                                 Cost: $123

Our Yoga Club develops focus, flexibility, strength, and coordination through a variety of yoga poses, stories and games. We move, we play, we sometimes dance and we always have fun.  These classes enhance energy while also teaching children to feel calm and centered. Learn basic yoga movements in a fun, relaxed setting, doing your personal best in a non-competitive environment.  Mats are provided each week, no need for your student to bring their own.  Snacks are provided each week. Students should wear comfortable clothes that allow movement. Led by former Woodlin parent and RYT 200 certified yoga instructor, Krista Mason.
