Dino Discovery, K-2

Take an adventure back to the Jurassic Era where we will learn about dinosaurs who roamed the Earth millions of years ago.  Uncover fascinating facts, build a dinosaur replica and have an archaeological dig as you explore your paleontological skills.  In Dinosaur Discovery, you will become a paleontologist faster than Ornithomimids ran from a T-Rex! Provided by Little Scholars.

Jump It Up, K-5

Jump It Up is a whole-body movement-based club that is fun and safe exercise. The goal is to increase health, wellness, and fitness with balance, strength, and coordination for all students. Gross motor skills will be reinforced with mini-trampolines and other equipment. Students will learn fun, easy movement routines in sequences timed to music – balance and agility will be a focus. Use of arms, legs, and various muscle groups will increase students’ strength, endurance, body awareness and overall fitness. Taught by Woodlin physical therapy staff member, Hope Sadler.

Kaizen Fitness presents a multi-sport program that teaches the basics of multiple, different sports, including basketball, soccer, flag football, capture the flag, and other sports. The program is designed to enhance your child’s athletic diversity while teaching important lessons in teamwork, positive attitude, and respect. Instruction provided by Kaizen Karate.

Calling all wizard fans!  This is like no other camp you have ever experienced.  We will take a magical journey into the world of wizards.  We will design trading cards, make a personal crest, create a treasure hunt, have a Tri-wizard tournament and even do some activities that will astound all Muggles.  Provided by Little Scholars.

Destination Imagination: “Global Explorations”, K-3

Each week students explore a new and exciting location around the world—from India to Antarctica—using theatre skills, and their imaginations! The residency introduces students to a variety of cultures and experiences while introducing the fundamentals of theatre through movement, music, design/ visual arts, and drama.  Provided by Round House Theatre Education.

Karate- ALL Belts, K-5

This popular class is a disciplined introduction to the sport by Kaizen Karate.  Your child will learn the beautiful art of karate while gaining safety and defensive skills in a respectful environment.  The class will also emphasize the basic karate principles of focus, patience and self-discipline.  Returning students will continue to work toward new belts while first time students will be able to start the belt program.  Instruction provided by Kaizen Karate.

Recycled Art with CREATE, K-3

Be earth friendly with art projects made from materials that usually get discarded. Students will learn the principles of recycling with projects geared to repurposing a variety of materials into works of art. Students will CREATE with traditional art supplies such as paint and markers and recyclables such as cardboard, plastic bottles, and so much more! Whether it is practical or purely decorative the art and the art making will be good green fun!

Take a little chemistry, a dash of engineering, a sprinkle of earth science, toss it together with some fun and games and you have an all new STEAM-based class.  We will explore the different worlds of science to design and create projects from pizza gardens to crazy inventions.  Come join us for this exciting journey into the world of science!

Yoga, K-5

Our Yoga Club develops focus, flexibility, strength, and coordination through a variety of yoga poses, stories and games. We move, we play, we sometimes dance and we always have fun.  These classes enhance energy while also teaching children to feel calm and centered. Learn basic yoga movements in a fun, relaxed setting, doing your personal best in a non-competitive environment.  Mats are provided each week, no need for your student to bring their own.  Snacks are provided each week. Led by Woodlin parent and RYT 200 certified yoga instructor, Krista Mason.
