Teacher Coordinator

Little Scholars is a high-quality provider of after-school educational enrichment programs, tutoring, and summer camps for students in grades PK-8th. Headquartered in Richmond, VA, Little Scholars currently operates in over 40 markets with over 400 teachers delivering our programs to students.

The Teacher Coordinator provides a range of detailed administrative and creative teacher supports, including teacher sourcing and recruitment facilitation, to aid in meeting current and future teaching needs. The Teacher Coordinator helps ensure that Little Scholars’ recruiting practices and teacher supports attract the highest quality teachers who will lead exciting and fun education programs at our host schools. This position will utilize superior communication skills, tremendous attention to detail, and creative and innovative coordination throughout the recruiting and hiring process in an effort to identify top talent and execute a stellar experience for our teachers.

Teacher Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Maintain efficient and timely candidate flow through consistent, organized, and accurate recruiting processes
  • Utilize strategic, innovative and creative sourcing techniques to attract teacher candidates
  • Assess teacher fit through screening tools and reference checks
  • Manage interview scheduling
  • Facilitate the on-boarding process which includes ordering and reviewing background checks, scheduling and orientation
  • Provide exceptional service and communication to teachers through daily email reminders, lesson plan guidance, and mentorships to ensure the teachers deliver amazing classes and camps
  • Professionally handle issues with teachers
  • Track and report teacher metrics

Teacher Coordinator Qualifications:

  • Expert time management and organization skills with ability to thrive in a rapid-paced work environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

The schedule requires 26 hours a week, four days a week, 9:15am-4:15pm with 30 minutes for lunch. The compensation is $20/hour.

Program Coordinator

Little Scholars has an opening for the position of Program Coordinator.  The qualified candidate possesses strong organizational skills, project management experience, and great attention to detail. The Program Coordinator’s duties and responsibilities include expanding sales in new geographic markets, working with customers to set up After School Enrichment programs and ensuring the implementation and success of these programs, customer service, and problem resolution. To be a candidate for Program Coordinator, you must have excellent time management as well as outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

The schedule requires 20-25 hours per week and the compensation is $20/hour.

Summer Camp Teacher

Little Scholars is looking to hire the best teachers for our 2019 summer camps! Are you ready to join our team?

Little Scholars, a leading provider of summer camp, is seeking responsible, energetic and dynamic teachers to teach summer camps for the summer of 2019.  We are looking to hire teachers to work part time ranging from 15-30 hours per week.  Our camps are offered weekly at local private schools between the hours of 9-4pm.  A teacher may teach the weeks that work best for their schedule depending upon schedule availability.  Little Scholars provides the curriculum including the materials and supplies to teach the camp.  This is a great position for education students, graduate students, retired teachers, teachers looking to return to part time work and preschool teachers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Travel to assigned local schools with curriculum and supplies to implement camp
  • Deliver engaging instruction to students using curriculum
  • Supervise students and ensure student safety and well-being
  • Send written recap emails to families summarizing the camp after each day

An ideal teacher should possess the following qualifications:

  • Energetic, upbeat and personal demeanor
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Reliable, promptness and an excellent work ethic
  • Loves working with children
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to work with up to 20 students
  • Organization skills and the ability to complete administrative tasks and follow lesson plans
  • Skills and flexibility to work with a variety of students, schools and curriculums
  • Two or more years of experience working with children in a classroom setting
  • Masters of Teaching or Masters of Education degree preferred

Little Scholars, a leading provider of after school enrichment programs, is seeking responsible, energetic and dynamic teachers to teach after school enrichment programs.  We are looking to hire teachers to work part time ranging from 2-10 hours per week.  Our classes are offered once a week at local public and private schools between the hours of 2-5pm for up to 12 weeks.  A teacher may teach between 1-5 days a week depending upon schedule availability.  Little Scholars provides the curriculum including the materials and supplies to teach the programs.  This is a great position for education students, graduate students, retired teachers, teachers looking to return to part time work and preschool teachers.

Little Scholars, a leading provider of private tutoring for children in PK-8th grade, is seeking responsible, energetic and dynamic teachers to tutor.  We are looking to hire teachers to work part time ranging from 2-10 hours per week.  Our tutoring hours are based on the customers’ needs.  A teacher may tutor between 1-5 days a week depending upon schedule availability.  This is a great position for graduate education students, retired teachers and teachers looking to return to part time work.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Travel to assigned locations with lesson plans and supplies to implement the tutoring session
  • Deliver engaging individualized instruction to student
  • Send written recap emails to families summarizing tutoring session after each meeting

An ideal teacher should possess the following qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Reliable, promptness and an excellent work ethic
